Food chain Food Web
The producer, the tree, receives energy from the sun through photosynthesis. The tertiary consumer receives energy from the secondary consumer, whose energy comes from the primary producer, which comes from the producer. Herbivores receive energy from plants. Carnivores get energy from other animals and meat.
In the food web, if there is one extinction it could endanger the other species. Such as if the trees and producers were extinct all of the consumers would struggle to survive.
Some factors that may limit population growth include lack of food, lack of space, predation, and disease.
Invasive species
Invasive species- an organism not native and has negative effects on our economy, our environment, and our health
An invasive species may beat a native specie from getting food or they may attack the native specie as an attempt for food. They may also take over or invade a native species habitat.
The Asian Gypsy Moth is an invasive specie to the US, but is native to Russia. This moth was brought over from ships and affects the trees in forests. This moth is considered a pest and threats trees and forests.
